Boredom kills but my new job is awesome.

You know i figured having this blog would help kill some of that lingering boredom i feel day to fay. But nope, still there. But i think its only because i haven't been so attentive to my blog. I want this to be very successful and yet i haven't really been there. So i pledge to post at least 1 post a day. Even if its only about the boring events that took place that boring day. Ill be here.

Today I'm going to work. I got a job at staples😋. And i tell you the difference of working fast food for damn near five years (that's half a decade by the way) is so very much refreshing. I had some good times at jack in the box. Late night smoke outs, free food, ignoring a few customers here or there so can get some damn work done! Yeah fond memories. But i am moving past that. The thought of working fast food longer than i already had was too much.
I see older employees at a few choice fast food places and i just feel sad. I don't want to be in my 30s and up working at jack or Mc D or any other of the fast food places.

So now I'm at staples. A much more dignifying line of work. I mean yeah its still retail but i don't have to deal with rude customers(at least not yet), i don't have grease staining my clothes and covering my skin til its shiny, and i staples actually closes. Working overnights st jack from 9 pm to 6am was terrible. If it wasn't super busy and stressful it was really boring and tiring. I can tell you i have fallen asleep more than two times.

And who doesn't love staples!? The aisles and aisles of unopened pen and fresh paper. The cute notebooks/journals and of course the computers. I mean just being in that store makes you want to rent an office space and start a business. I cant get enough of it. Plus i work in the cashier department and a part of that job is doing damage reports. It may not sound interesting but i definitely feel important when a customer comes in and I'm standing at the computer filling out forms to properly report an item damaged. Its much better than a customer coming in and I'm washing dishes, cooking food, and handing out orders all at the same time.

And the break room. My oh my. A kuerig coffee maker, microwave, fridge with food that has employees names on it, and lockers. Ive never had a locker. Not in school and not at work. And i am going to take so much advantage of this. I already have a style planned out. First, a mirror. Second, stickers! And lots of them. And finally, a lovely name card for all those to see that this fantastic locker is mine. I know great right.

It's the little things right?
