Today at work was something i truly enjoy. It was those kind of days that were half hectic half awesome. We had a few weird customers and a few who needed more attention than others. We also had a thief today, it wasnt much, just a few sheets of photo copy paper. And we had a handful of customers who made us laugh, joke around, and provided the friendly interaction most sales associates appreciate.
I had my hands full of, what my boss likes to call them, projects. They kept me fairly busy through out the day and when i wasnt dealing with them i had customers who needed me. Its nice to be needed. At the end of the day i didnt want to leave. I was finally out on the floor and away from that prison cell at the checkout. I was running around the store putting the load away, helping customers find items, and training a new employee.
I just wanted to stay there and work until we closed or even after. The work i could get done with no interruptions and no time limit. Although I did get my first load done within 20 minutes. I felt very accomplished. This job is nothing I've had but everything i wanted minus the office.
The people i work with alone are such a joy to be around. If its not my boss cracking jokes its the other employees gossiping and making the best of the day. I enjoy this place immensely. It's going to
